History
BBuhl Fijnmetaalbewerking B.V. has been based in Hilversum since its inception. It began in 1946
as machine shop where most of the work produced was for the Ministry of Defence. Up to the ‘80s
Buhl grew in size and became a specialist in pressing. In this period, milling and turning were
added to the work package. The most important product groups in this time were measuring and
control engineering and office machines. In the ‘90s milling and turning took a more prominent role
in the organisation, especially with the introduction of (C)NC machines. In the coming years
robotising and automation will be used, where possible, in the production process.

Quality
Quality is extremely important to Buhl. Since February 1998
Buhl has been certified by Lloyds conform ISO 9002:1994
and since March 2010 conform ISO 9001:2008.
The products are made by professional and critical craftsmen
who are responsible for the delivery of good products.
The staff is supported by the quality inspectors who have
their own measurement room and high quality measuring
equipment.
